BY50SでUPSサービスドライバのインストールに失敗
オムロンのＵＰＳBY50Sを購入、添付のＣＤからＯＳ標準の管理機能を使うため
ＵＰＳサービスドライバをインストールしようとしたのだが、仮想ＣＯＭポートが
正常に導入されない。ハードの認識情報を調べてみるとベンダIDが0x0590、
プロダクトIDが0x0081となっているのに対し、添付CDのVcomm2k.infはプロダクトID
が0x0077までしか記述されていない。これがうまく見えない原因だった。
オムロンのサポートページから最新のUPSサービスドライバをダウンロードして
インストールしたらあっさりと認識した。
しかし添付CDに入ってる.infが古くてインストールに失敗しているとは思わなかった。
ファーム改版でプロダクトID変えたのかもしれないけれど出荷前にテストしてるのかな？
ハード自体は運転音もほとんど出ないし文句ないのだけれど、USBケーブルの
差し位置変えるとうまく認識されなくなる*1など注意すべきポイントがありそう。
